India has been a hub of indigenous knowledge as we have various Vedas and Shashtras written very earlier in the history of mankind. These are valuable sources of knowledge from ancient times. Vedic Astrology is stream of knowledge which was started centuries ago. Now there are various misconceptions among people. Therefore some universities and institutes have started Vedic astrology courses to train the people about astrology. Courses

One of the premier institutions of India, Banaras Hindu University offers a variety of Vedic astrology courses. Sanskrit Vidya Dharma Vijnan Sankaya, a faculty established in 1914 in BHU offers numerous courses in indigenous stream of knowledge. Jvotish is taught here in Department of Jvotish which runs three Vedic astrology courses. There are two streams of study there : Ganita and Phalita. Offered courses are:
